Minnesota Wild Secures Filip Gustavsson with Five-Year Contract Extension

The Minnesota Wild has secured goaltender Filip Gustavsson with a five-year contract extension valued at $34 million. This agreement, announced by the team’s President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Guerin, will take effect in the 2026-27 season and continue through the 2030-31 season. The contract averages $6.8 million per year.
Filip Gustavsson’s Impressive Performance
At just 27 years old, Gustavsson has made notable contributions on the ice. Last season, he participated in all 58 games for Minnesota, achieving a record of 31 wins, 19 losses, and six overtime losses. His stellar performance was highlighted by a 2.56 goals-against average (GAA), a .914 save percentage (SV%), and five shutouts.
