Tour Highlights
This tour marks RUSH’s first series of shows since 2015 and the first without legendary drummer Neil Peart, who passed away in January 2020. Anika Nilles, a talented German drummer, will replace Peart for this tour. Nilles, known for her impressive musical background, has toured with distinguished artists like Jeff Beck.
Geddy Lee, the band’s frontman, expressed excitement about welcoming Nilles into the fold. He emphasized the band’s commitment to delivering an unforgettable performance for their dedicated fanbase. “We’ve been hard at work rehearsing and designing the kind of RUSH show you’ve come to expect from us,” Lee stated.
Background on RUSH’s Decision to Tour
Geddy Lee, along with guitarist Alex Lifeson, made the decision to tour once more after reflecting on their time with Peart. In a heartfelt message, Lee acknowledged how much they missed performing together and how pivotal Peart’s legacy is to their music.
As anticipation builds for the upcoming shows, fans have plenty to look forward to with RUSH’s planned setlist, which will celebrate their extensive catalog and honor their late drummer’s contributions.
The combination of nostalgic performances and new musical elements promises an unforgettable experience for concertgoers. With RUSH back on the road, fans are eager to reconnect with the sounds that defined a generation.
