DFDS Ferry Schedule Released, Missing Jersey-Guernsey Trip Times

DFDS has announced its ferry schedule for the summer season, marking an important update for those traveling between the UK and the Channel Islands. The new timetable aims to enhance convenience for passengers, particularly Jersey residents and French visitors.
Key Details of the DFDS Ferry Schedule
Between May and August, DFDS will operate over 730 ferry departures across three main routes: Poole, Portsmouth, and St Malo. This expanded schedule reflects a commitment to improving travel options.
Revised Departure Times
Notably, DFDS has adjusted the departure times for early morning sailings, particularly from the UK. Most departures from both Poole and Portsmouth are now scheduled between 09:00 and 12:00.
Improvements for Travelers
The revised ferry schedules include enhanced overnight travel options, specifically benefiting Jersey residents and visitors from France. Chris Parker, DFDS Jersey route director, stated, “We’ve listened carefully to islanders and acted on what matters most.”
- More crossings available when people prefer to travel.
- Reduction of early morning sailings to minimize inconvenience.
- Improved options for day trips to France.
These adjustments highlight DFDS’s responsiveness to community feedback, making travel more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
