Born in April 2006, Michael grew up in Mississauga, Ontario, where his family instilled a deep love for the Montreal Canadiens. His father, Alain, a lifelong Habs fan, ensured that both Michael and his younger brother, Alexander, were immersed in the culture of hockey from a young age.

In June 2024, Michael achieved a milestone when he was selected as the 21st overall pick by the Montreal Canadiens during the NHL Entry Draft. This moment was a poignant fulfillment of a lifelong dream, especially coming after significant hardships in his life.
