Microsoft Expands Xbox Game Pass: 45+ New Games, Including Hogwarts Legacy

Microsoft has announced a significant expansion of its Xbox Game Pass service, introducing over 45 new games. This update coincides with an increase in the monthly subscription fee for the Ultimate tier.
Price Changes and New Game Tiers
The Ultimate tier’s price has risen from $19.99 to $29.99 per month. Alongside this, Microsoft has restructured the other tiers of the service. The new Premium tier replaces the old Standard tier, and the Essential tier has taken over the Core tier.
Included Games
As part of the new offerings, the acclaimed title Hogwarts Legacy has been added to both the Ultimate and Premium tiers. This expansion aims to enhance the value of these subscriptions, particularly for gamers seeking variety.
Premium Tier Offerings
The Premium tier boasts access to more than 40 new games. Notably, the action RPG Diablo IV is available for subscribers. However, not all Xbox-published games will be accessible at launch. For instance, the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops, expected to release in November, will not be available to Premium subscribers at its debut.
Essential Tier Games
The Essential tier presents a curated catalog of over 50 games. All titles are available on both console and PC. This includes popular games such as:
- Hades
- Cities: Skylines – Remastered
- Stardew Valley
- Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
