SpaceX Successfully Deploys 24 Starlink Internet Satellites and Lands Rocket on Ocean Ship Video

**SpaceX Propels 24 Starlink Satellites to Orbit in Latest Launch from Californian Coast**

SpaceX has successfully launched 24 more Starlink internet satellites into orbit. The Falcon 9 rocket took off from Vandenberg Space Force Base, located on California’s central coast, at precisely 12:26 a.m. EDT (0426 GMT; 9:26 p.m. on September 25 local California time).

Falcon 9’s Impressive Landing and Launch

Approximately eight and a half minutes post-launch, the Falcon 9’s first stage made a precision landing on the SpaceX drone ship, aptly named “Of Course I Still Love You,” stationed in the Pacific Ocean. This mission marked the 16th successful flight for the booster designated B1082, with 12 of these missions dedicated to Starlink deployments.

Starlink Megaconstellation Continues to Grow

As the first stage returned, the Falcon 9’s upper stage persevered, journeying toward low Earth orbit to deploy the Starlink satellites approximately 62.5 minutes after launch. This expansion is in line with SpaceX’s aggressive strategy to expand the Starlink megaconstellation, supported by over 123 launches this year alone, with September accounting for 15 launches.

Booster B1082’s Launch Legacy

This recent launch brings the total number of active Starlink spacecraft to approximately 8,500, as reported by astrophysicist and satellite tracker Jonathan McDowell. The current 2025 launch statistics reveal that over 70% of Falcon 9 missions this year have focused on strengthening the Starlink network.

  • Year-to-Date Launches: 123 Falcon 9 missions
  • September 2025 Launches: 15 Falcon 9 missions
  • Starlink Contribution: Over 70% of launches
