A leaked Apple identifier points to the next Apple TV 4K using the A19 or A19 Pro chip. That would move the box well beyond the 2022 model with the A15 Bionic and set up a larger hardware jump than earlier rumors suggested.
Marko and the A19 leak
Marko published the report after AppleInsider said the identifier pointed to the A19 or A19 Pro system-on-chip. The same leak suggests 8GB or 12GB of RAM, which is the kind of headroom Apple needs if it wants the box to do more than basic TV playback.
Apple TV 4K buyers would feel that mainly through software, not menus. The hardware line points to Apple Intelligence support, and tvOS 27 code had already shown that the device was on track to receive Siri AI support in June 2026.
Apple TV 4K RAM and Apple Intelligence
The memory jump is the most concrete part of the leak. The 2022 Apple TV 4K with the A15 Bionic had 6GB of RAM, so 8GB or 12GB would mark a clear step up for a living-room device that has been constrained by older silicon.
That also complicates an older rumor. An August 2025 claim said the next Apple TV 4K would get the A17 Pro chip, but this newer identifier points to the A19 or A19 Pro instead, which is a much newer target and lines up better with the Apple Intelligence pitch.
Surprise and Shine event timing
Apple could show the updated Apple TV 4K at the Surprise and Shine event on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. For buyers, the practical choice is simple: wait a little longer if you care about RAM and AI support, or treat the current model as the safer option if Apple stays quiet about price and exact configuration.
